Pastor’s Corner

Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr, D.D., Senior Pastor

Welcome to our official site.  Here’s where you will get from me direct vision insight regarding what God is doing from our Dumas, AR Campus.   Please pray forward our 2020 VISION REBUILD assignment.

To those who have been on board with us for years, thank you.  For those who are joining us and our “Keepers of the Faith” movement, please know that we appreciate you and your prayers, donations and great support.

Everyone… please leave your name and email in our “Keepers of the Faith” capture link.   I will be speaking here on Sunday and weekly with words of hope and deliverance.

I’m grateful to God for the leaders and builders who came before me, especially my parents, Dr. A.L. Hunt, Sr. and Dr. Alice M. Kinlow Hunt who were truly ‘Keepers of the Faith.’

For now, please consider donating as we move the works of spiritual restoration, debt retirement and renovation to the most excellent outcomes.

Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr, D.D., Senior Pastor

About US

We are a great church full of God’s love. Tested and tried with anointed and visionary leaders who have proven works. This focus is to rebuild and restore the works that God has honored us to oversee- from Dumas to DC. Your prayers, love and donations will continue to assist us to do ‘the greater works’ in our present and future days. Thanks in advance for your support.

Continuing in the spirit of the Visionary and the Builders who walked by faith and not by sight. We honor their spirit of love, wisdom and keepers of the faith. It is in this spirit that we go forth in love, power and of sound mind.

“VISION REBUILD”
HMC 2020

HMC— Hunt Memorial Cathedral of Faith in West Dumas has officially launched ‘VISION REBUILD’. VISION REBUILD is our 2020 Vision Declaration and major outreach for spiritual restoration, debt retirement and renovation with a strong focus also to have resources sown into the ministry.

From September through December will go forward like Moses facing the Red Sea as we watch God part the waters. We will end the year full of victory. Along the way, we will have special services and outreach programs for the entire community, state and nation. Please save the date, October 6, it’s Founder’s Day. It will be a strong salute to our late Visionary/Founder, Dr. A.L. Hunt, Sr. We will have the strength of people who love God and the great works that have been established and witnessed from the corner of Walnut and Waterman in West Dumas, Arkansas all coming home to be a part.

If this ministry has in the past and/or remains today as work that you or someone you know has benefited from, we say to you; TODAY… HMC NEEDS YOU!  Thanks in advance for your continuous support and contributions and we are looking for you to be a key and major part.

Yes, we are sowing into the works.  A minimum goal of $100,000 before the end of 2019 is the mark. This is important due to a loss in financial support to sustain the ministry brought on by multiple factors included but not limited to; a loss in membership, aging parishioners, death, relocation of members seeking employment in other cities to escape from economically deprived areas, etc.

Add to this, two legal battles; one, brought on by the (previous) denominational leaders which resulted in one church being attacked and ending up in a four-church split.  But love conquers all and we see God bringing restoration among our families and friends.

Another, by the city of Dumas with a frivolous lawsuit to take ownership of our property. Blessed be God we (though spending thousands of dollars) successfully won both cases. It has cost us great expense and damage.  But we know ‘with God’ all things are possible, and we shall overcome!

We are looking ahead for the next generation and their futures and this vision and resources are critical to our progress.

The theme for ‘VISION REBUILD‘ comes from Hebrews 12:1. This passage speaks of laying aside past issues of entanglements and setbacks and looking ahead to Jesus Christ; the starting and finishing line for persons who live by faith.

‘VISION REBUILD’ focuses on the past years of 70-plus in ministry impact and future years that combine for 100 years with millions of dollars (already invested) in ministry support to persons from the corner of Walnut and Watermen to persons, ministries, families and institutions across the nation. It honors and uplifts the work of the past Visionary, Dr. A. L. Hunt, Sr. (family and congregation) and connects the ongoing vision lead by his son and current Visionary, Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr., D.D. and the faithful remnant and supporters who are on board.

Keepers of the Faith

We hear this phase often… ‘I fought a good fight, I finished my course, I have kept the faith.’ It’s from the Apostle Paul’s final words to his son Timothy. But it doesn’t restrict us to only say this in our final moments or have it said at our Homegoing.

It declares that we are they who understand the faith is the only way to please God. From HMC, this is the group of Kingdom leaders who ‘may or may not be members’ of the local Hunt Memorial Cathedral of Faith assembly but see ‘faith and works’ in what we are continuing to bring forth from the founding visionaries and builders and are saying, we are here with you. We will help as ‘keepers of the faith.’ These are our strongest and most steadfast persons. No amount is too small. We are counting on you.

You can be a partner/supporter in multiple ways. Read on for more on our vision. Your donation today helps us to bring it all into reality. You will be one among many who will have an opportunity to stay connected via a network platform/HUB that allows everyone to not only keep in touch but to share their programs, visions and enterprises for profitable results and increase.

When you donate or just sign up to be a ‘Keeper of the Faith’ with us, your commitment to pray with us and support with finances contribute greatly to our efforts.
